Hot Spring Hot Tubs - The Energy Efficient Spa

One sure way to destroy the benefit of relaxing in your hot tub is receiving a gigatic energy bill afterwards. All hot tubs by Hot Spring Spas includes features that drastically reduce your energy bill.

  • Insulated Cover – Made of durable marine-grade vinyl, each custom-fit hot tub cover forms a tight seal with the help of 2 or 1.5 lb foam insulation. It is tapered for water run-off and includes safety locks (in accordance with ASTM safety standards) to keep your loved ones out and the heat in.
  • Constant Heat – Working together to maintain the desired water temperature, all of Hot Spring Spas' energy saving features eliminate expensive heating, cooling and filtration cycles.
  • SmartJet System – Hot Spring Spas allow you to control which jet system you want to use, saving you money by not running all the jets at once. A variety of massage options is available to you without oversized or multiple jet pumps, for comfort control and savings.
  • Efficient Plumbing – Using less jet horsepower and less energy, our manifold plumbing system reduces water flow restrictions while still delivering strong pressure from the jets.
  • Efficient Jet Pump – The single-speed Wavemaster jet pump delivers powerful hydromassage using only the energy needed.
  • Dedicated Circulation Pump – Using less energy than it takes to power a 40-watt light bulb, the single-speed Silent Flo 5000 circulation pump delivers superior filtration for 24 hours.
  • Superior Filtration – We reduce the need to refill and heat new spa water by employing a superior filtration system. Coupled with the optional EverFresh water care system, which features a highly effective ozone generator, FreshWater III CD, your hot tub will be expertly maintained.
  • No-Fault Heater – With our No-Fault Heater over 98% of the heat produced is tranferred into the water. This maximizes efficiency by minimizing waste and energy costs.
  • L.E.D. Interior Lighting – It is no surprise that many cities are converting their traffic signals to L.E.D. low-watt light bulbs. They use less energy than standard light bulbs, conserving energy and money, which is exactly why we use them in our hot tubs.

Our features are designed to add to the experience of owning a hot tub by saving you money. But don't just take our word for it. We wanted to quantify the actual energy consumption of our hot tubs, so we turned to Exponent, Inc., an independent science and engineering firm leading the nation, to put Hot Spring Spas through rigorous third-party testing. We maintain high testing standards to bolster your confindence in purchasing a Hot Spring Spa. View results below.

Calculating Your Monthly Cost
Energy costs vary according to the hot tub model purchased and the amount of usage but to get an idea, use the energy table below, or try our Online Energy Calculator. Both present actual, documented energy consumption of a mid-sized Hot Spring spa in heavy use, based on third-party testing.
